N4G Official side event: “Leveraging SMEs for nutrition-sensitive food systems. Seminar: Facilitated dialogue between Japanese private sector and stakeholders from Kenya, Ghana and Vietnam”

Nutrition Japan Public Private Platform (NJPPP), in collaboration with Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), held a preliminary discussions among stakeholders (held on October 21.Closed to the public) and the seminar to deepen  discussions on the realization of nutrition-sensitive food system, especially on collaboration with Japanese companies in Ghana, Kenya and Vietnam.
This seminar was designed to disseminate the results of FAO project “Strengthening capacities for nutrition-sensitive food systems through a multi-stakeholder approach “Strengthening capacities for nutrition-sensitive food systems through a multi-stakeholder approach” supported by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF), which is supporting relevant academic institutions and SMEs to promote and adopt nutrition-sensitive approaches to healthy diets in Ghana, Kenya and Vietnam, and explore opportunities for collaboration.
The identified entry points would be the basis for the preparation of a final proposal for collaboration, which will be presented during an official side event of the Tokyo Nutrition for Growth Summit (N4G)  2021, organized by  MAFF and held on 7th-8th December 2021.
